Thirumalai Amman pondugal:
Get up early in the morning, brush teeth. Put kolam in 2 palagaas, make kosavams in the two 9-yards sarees and keep them on the palagaas.
Seek blessings of Thirumalai Amman and sprinkle a little sesame oil on the two sarees. Give kumkum and oil sheekakai to the married daughters and daughters in law of the house. Rinse the two sarees. Do a snaanam and dry the sarees in east-west direction.
After the sarees have dried, make kosavams and place them on 2 palagaas that have been adorned with maakolams. Adorn them with flowers and jewelry.
