Thanikoottu quick notes(will add to blog as well): 1.5 karandi ka paruppu and thu paruppu with 1 red chilli
roast in a little oil and soak
1/2 kg jaggery powdered (5 times the paruppu)
grind the soaked paruppu and keep aside
add 1 glass of tamarind water (1 gooseberry size tamarind)
to cooker with 1 spoon coconut oil, turmeric powder and a little salt.
let it boil in the open, add the ground paruppu paste, mix
Add jaggery, ghee and coconut oil and keep mixing till halwa consistency
for seasoning:
mustard seeds, urad dal, karuveppilai and coconut to be roasted in coconut oil and ghee and add to the halwa and mix
